		<description>Thanks very much! The Carnegie meeting that JSB spoke at was pretty fascinating.

It IS true that tinkering is fundamental to how science is done. Indeed, it&#039;s not a stretch to argue that most knowledge-production and creative activity can be called tinkering. Improvisation, iteration, failing until you succeed, sharing your work with others.... sounds like the way science really works.

To complement the piece on the history of tinkering, Ive got a piece on the future of tinkering coming out in Vodafone Reciever this spring.</description>
