I thought I had commented on this article way back when but it looks like I never hit that 'submit' button! The Gliffy example came out of a f2f working day with a few members of the Educational Technology Users Group in British Columbia. Grant Potter (http://networkeffects.ca/) captured our conversations using Gliffy. We found the spidergram activity to be an excellent way to anchor our discussions about where we are, and where we want to go as a community. Recently Grant was looking at the new collaborative drawing editor in Google Docs -- another interesting way to "crack the nut", especially if your group is doing the spidergram activity online.
