What I haven't been blogging about

I heading into my last crazy week... then some time to slow down, take some vacation, and hopefully, get back into a regular blogging schedule. As my friend Bev said "I miss my blog." But there are priorities.

Here is a small peek at what I have not had time to blog about... (And for those heading to D2Learn, see you there!) These are in addition to things I tagged in del.icio.us. So much cool stuff, so few hours. There are conversations I wanted to be part of, and to those of you who expected me, I apologize.

Here ya go...

Hi Nancy. I see you are headed to Duluth soon.

I went to law school in Minneapolis and then lived in MN for twenty years. Back in law school, my now-ex and I went camping in Duluth for the 4th. It snowed. I swear to goddess.

We took a cruise in the harbor, which was actually great. It was awesome to ride in and around great freighters.

I recommend a trip to Gooseberry Falls State Park: spectacular.

The North Shore of Lake Superior is spectacular.

Lots of folks across over to Wisconsin from Duluth. . . which takes you to another very beautiful part of the world.

I don't know what your time line is but if you have time, the Boundary Waters National Park is only a few hours drive and everyone should see it once in their lives: the Boundary Waters is rare, pristine (near-pristine anyway) wilderness. It is the stillness place I have ever been. I've also been camping up there in summer and it is not as cold as Duluth, even though it is much farther north.

There is something about the lake: bring warm clothing, lots of layers.

Hiya Nancy, I will also be in Deluth - maybe we can sit down and discuss the role love - or sameness - plays in groups and communities. -- Stephn

Tree, I went up north, saw Gooseberry falls, and went over to WI too! Did not make it as far as the Boundary Waters area, but close. Really beautiful.
