One good word is bread for a thousand...

From David Whyte, (author, "The Heart Aroused: Poetry and the Preservation of the Soul in Corporate America") via Kenny Moore

"This is not
the age of information.
This is not
The age of information.
Forget the news,
And the radio,
And the blurred screen.
This is the time
Of loaves and fishes.
People are hungry,
And one good word is bread
For a thousand."

(from "The House of Belonging")

What is the word you put out to the world, especially if you are a blogger? Is there something you yearn to contribute? Something you wish to be heard?

Or perhaps, what is the "elephant in the room" which challenges us to speak out?

D'Arcy, remember the story of the blind men and the elephant. Each touched a different part of the beast and thought it something different.

The metaphor has continued through time to reflect the things we know are there, but we don't want to face. Sort of like the Emperor and his, uh, 'new clothes!' ;-)
